Order Delivery

Garment orders are despatched using a signed for delivery service delivery, delivery timescale for main parts of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are typically 1 to 3 working days from dispatch confirmation. For Scottish Islands and Channel Islands delivery will take 2 to 4 working days approximately from dispatch confirmation. Majority of orders are processed within one working day.

Free delivery is available on new garment orders to most UK locations. New garment orders in the main will be sent using 1 to 3 day working day signed for delivery service from dispatch confirmation via e-mail. A guaranteed next day, timed deliveries and Saturday delivery services are also available. Free delivery is not available on leather care products and delivery timescales are typically 2 to 4 working days for UK mainland as liquid and aerosol items are subject to additional checks by the delivery companies.

Please provide a delivery address where there will be someone to receive and sign for the parcel, work address or neighbour's address is fine. Deliveries are typically weekdays between 8.00am and 6pm. We are not provided with an estimated delivery time or time slot by the delivery company. All delivery charges unless otherwise specified will be for parcel weights of up to 2kg.

Orders for remote UK mainland postcodes UK Isles and Northern Ireland will be sent via Recorded Royal Mail or via Parcelforce and deliveries may take a few days extra. .

If you do not receive the item(s) ordered within 7 days please contact us straight away, unless we have already been in contact with you to advise you of the estimated delivery date.

The next working day services can take an extra day to reach Northern Ireland and remote post code areas, this is down to the limitation of the delivery and courier companies.

Please note that international delivery charges calculated on 1 kg and 2 kg parcel weights. For orders for 2 garments or more that are over the 2kg weight may incur an additional carriage weight charge which will need to be passed onto the customer, an e-mail notification will be sent. Delivery charges to the UK and EU countries are inclusive of UK value added tax.

 A delivery charge applies per delivery made.

Returns & Exchange Policy

If for any reason you are not entirely happy with your online purchase then it may be returned within 22 days for a full refund or 60 days exchange on the item provided it is in its original condition, unused and with labels intact and item untampered. We will refund you by the same method that you paid us and we will allocate the refund back to the card you paid with, within 1-3 working days of processing the returned goods intact.

For return items, please do NOT return these to our head office address as we do NOT have a warehouse / stock storage facility.  The warehouse returns address for your garment will be detailed on your dispatch note, the returns address can be requested at any time via e-mail at info@ukleatherjackets. For return garments please first ensure the protective plastic sleeve is over the jacket before folding (as this protects from excessive creasing). Please take care to only fold the jacket once by bringing the bottom edge up to the chest / shoulder level. Coats may require two horizontal folds, again ensure plastic protective sleeve is over the garment before folding.

We recommend that any returns are sent by 'Signed for Delivery Service' via the Post Office / Royal Mail (e.g. Recorded Royal Mail) or equivalent signed for and tracked courier service as we cannot take any responsibility for items that do not reach us. Proof of postage is not sufficient.

Exchanges for Finest Toscana & Finest Shearling Lambskin & Sheepskin Ranges

Exchanges for the 'Finest' Toscana amd 'Finest' Lambskin and Sheepskin ranges will have an exchange period of 30 days as we require customers to notify us as soon as possible if they require a different size or style, this is to enable us to manage stock levels since these garments are particularly expensive to produce.

 

Christmas Gifts

In addition to our terms and conditions including the 60 day exchange policy, garment orders that are Christmas presents can take advantage of an extended refund period up till the 11th January 2016. At the time of ordering please indicate on the checkout page within the 'Fax:' box  that the item is an 'Xmas gift' , or reply to your e-mail order confirmation stating 'Xmas gift', or e-mail us direct at xmasgifts@ukleatherjackets.co.uk quoting your order number or order name. The Post Office offers a next working day guaranteed delivery service so long as you post back the garment unworn and in a saleable condition using the Royal Mail Special Delivery service the working day before the 11th January 2016, you will receive a refund. Items received back after the 11th January 2016 will be eligible for an exchange or credit voucher.

Overseas Returns (non EU)

Returns from overseas, in particular from countries outside the EU, must be marked as 'Returning Goods to UK Sender'. This is to ensure UK customs do not a apply charges to you or our warehouse for goods where duty has already been paid.

 

Returns Address

Once an order has been shipped an electronic dispatch note is issued to the customer's e-mail address provided on their order. The dispatch note contains the specific warehouse address for your garment return (this address will be the same as the sender address on your delivery bag).

Electronic dispatch notes can be re-issued at any time upon request or the address can be provided over the telephone.

Please do NOT return garments to the UK LJ head office address in Worcestershire as the warehouse storage facility is not located here.

 

For garment returns please:

- Quote your name and address on the outside of the returns bag, this speeds up returns tracking and refund / exchange allocation.

- If possible e-mail us to let us know that you will be returning a garment or requiring an exchange. E-mail address is info@ukleatherjackets.co.uk. If you would like an exchange please detail item name, colour and size required, and also your contact telephone number and e-mail address. All returns will be confirmed via e-mail and refunds and exchanges processed promptly within 1-2 working days.

-We recommend that any returns are sent by 'Signed for Delivery Service' via the Post Office / Royal Mail (e.g. Recorded Royal Mail) or equivalent signed for and tracked courier service as we cannot take any responsibility for items that do not reach us. Proof of postage is not sufficient.

-In the event of receipt of a faulty item please contact us within 4 days of receipt in order than we can either arrange replacement of the item or a refund upon our receipt back of the faulty item.

 

Items Out of Stock

In the event that an item ordered is temporarily out of stock we will inform you by email or telephone with the expected delivery date. Alternatively, you may wish to change your order for another jacket style that is in stock or withdraw your order.

 

Orders

To make a purchase, browse through the online catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into your shopping basket. After you have finished shopping, click on 'proceed to checkout' and you will be asked to complete a few details to enable us to fulfil your order.

Order receipt acknowledgement will be issued within 1 to 2 workings day via e-mail. This will then be followed by an order despatch confirmation with delivery date (e.g. order has been despatched and will be delivered on dd/mm/yyyy) or despatch status notification (e.g. out of stock, expected delivery date is dd/mm/yyyy). These notifications will be issued via e-mail or alternatively via telephone. Where an e-mail address is not provided, please allow extra time for these communications.

We reserve the right to decline an order. In such an instance payment will not be taken or will be refunded in full.

Special offers on particular styles, finishes and or colours can vary from time to time. We strive to offer quality design in leather and suede at an affordable price. Our range of leather and suede jackets extends between trendy, hip and latest fashion designs to chic and classic styles.

In the unusual event of any misanomaly with your order such as damage, missing items or deficiencies please ensure that these are reported within 5 calendar days of the delivery of the goods via e-mail to info@ukleatherjackets.co.uk 

Where the customer and, or end user of the goods requests or confirms an instruction to change the item ordered to an alternative style the price difference will be applied either prior to,or post, dispatch of goods to the authorised payment card or to an alternative approved card if requested by the customer or the end user.

 

Alterations and Made to Measure

We are pleased to offer a degree of style modification and alteration on certain styles, any modifications and alterations must be agreed in advance together with the price.

We also offer made to measure and customisation options on a special order basis. Some jacket styles indicate where this option is available and the price. Please note that the price displayed is for up to a maximum increase of 20% approximately. In the event were an order is placed for a size increase that is significantly more than 20% we will notify you in advance of the additional cost and you will have the option to cancel your order before we confirm acceptance of your order. A refund will be issued in this instance.

Once orders are accepted and notified via e-mail to the customer's e-mail address for mofications, alterations and, or made to measure these cannot be cancelled or refunded.

 

Special Orders

Garment styles indicated as 'special order' are not available from main warehouse stock and will only be ordered in upon customer request (i.e. when a customer places an order). We regret that special order items cannot be refunded.

 

 Gift Vouchers

These may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value, the difference in the cost of the item being purchased and the voucjer value would need to be made up via a credit or debit card at the checkout point. We accept, MasterCard, VISA and Maestro.

Gift vouchers ordered online will be issued by e-mail to the e-mail address provided on the order. Gift cards should be treated as cash. It will be the responsibility of the person to whom the gift voucher has been issued to safe-guard the voucher code. UK Leather Jackets will not accept liability for voucher codes that are not safe-guarded, lost or obtained and used to purchase goods by an unauthorised person. The gift voucher may be exchanged for goods and delivery services up to the face value or over the face value with the difference being settled in payment before dispatch of goods. Each gift voucher can only be used on a one time only basis. If any item purchased with a gift card is subsequently exchanged for an item of a lower price or refunded, any money owing will be added to a new gift voucher coded and issued electronically via e-mail. The goods received can then be exchanged or returned for a new gift voucher in accordance with the UK Leather Jackets returns and exchange policy. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash nor refunded back to the payment card.

UK Leather Jackets reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of gift cards at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the card, if, in its discretion, it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your legal rights.

 

Collections

Collections of garments made in person will be covered by our 60 day exchange policy and will not be refundable as these will have been purchased as seen.

 

Making a Purchase

When making a purchase the consumer is entering into a contract with the supplier. Responsibillity will not be accepted for incidental or consequential losses sustained as a result of a failed order, failed delivery, or unsuitablity of an item ordered, or deemed unsatisfactory nature of an item ordered or received. Orders for current stock items can only be canceled prior to dispatch, new stock and special order items can be cancelled prior to the production stage of the item. Purchases through UK Leather Jackets will be governed by English law.

 

Secure Payment Technology

All online transactions on the UK Leather Jackets website are authorised by VISA and MasterCard authorisation systems directly. Payment and Prices

We accept payment by MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Switch/Maestro and Solo.

Prices may be subject to change without notice, therefore it is important to note that we cannot always guarantee future orders at the same price. Orders placed will be supplied at the price stated at the point of order.

Prices are in G.B. pounds sterling.

Prices include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the UK current rate.

With regard to discount voucher codes only one voucher can be redeemed per order.

 

Overseas Orders

Orders placed by overseas customers and, or requiring overseas delivery can only be accepted via electronic card payment.

Orders are dispatched via international tracked postal service. Please note that where we are requested to investigate a claimed 'non-delivery' and the in-country delivery service provider supplies the official confirmation of delivery to the address provided by the customer there will be a £50 admin charge. Where the item ordered has genuinely not reached the customer a replacement garment will be despatched or refund applied.

 

Description of Goods

We take great care to ensure product pictures and information provided are as clear as possible. However colours and finishes may vary slightly from those viewed on the website due to the limitations of internet technology. In addition, sometimes linings may vary and differ between batches in final colour shade as well as change from a pattern version to a plain version. We therefore cannot accept liability for any variances or omissions.

Leather is a natural material and by its very nature skins will have slight variations which are not flaws but distinguishing marks which are characteristic of genuine leather. In additional final colour shades can, and do, vary by leather batch and the pictures on this website are intended and provided as a reasonable indicator. It should be noted that aniline leathers, nubuck leathers and suede have a characteristically subtle vintage shade finish and typically incorporate shade and tone variations which can appear to be greater or less in accordance with lighting conditions. It should be noted that vintage colour shades offer a subtle lighter shade variation which will have other visible shade undertones and hues that may be more or less prominent in accordance with lighting conditions. Final colour shade and tone variations can vary by batch production due to the natural composition of leather as it is not a synthetically produced material. The beauty of real leather is its uniqueness.

 

Damage to Goods

Please note that accidental damage or any damage casued to goods including through but not limited to misuse, abuse and, or poor storage of the item and any consequential losses will be entirely at the responsibility of the customer. UK Leather Jackets will assist where it can and when requested with general advice on the use and care of goods sold. Where a collection service is provided upon request by the customer for items that prove to have been damaged by the customer UK Leather Jackets reserves the right to recover such costs.

 

Currency Converter

Please note that our currency converter uses an approximation on the daily exchange rate against the Bristh Pound. The final sum charger in Euros or US Dollars will be determined by the rates applied by your card issuer. Please contact your card issuer for their daily exchnage and conversion rates.
