New Autumn-Winter Styles

The new autumn and winter collection designs will be available from September. Exciting and flattering styling is a definite, together with streamline cuts and an array of vintage themed colours. Vegetable dyes are big on the leather fashion scene this year in subdued shades of black, brown, tan and timber. The natural source of vegetable dyes delivers a soft and sheer colour that is more versatile for all seasons and also ideally suited for relaxed casual and smart casual wear. The regular block colour dyes deliver very uniform colours without intensity and depth variation, unlike vegetable dyes and also aniline leathers which have a beautiful vintage finish displayed in the stylish and subtle soft shade variation within. The traditionalist will no doubt prefer the staple block colour with its uniform shade, however if you are after a softer tone in your favourite or most worn colour option then vintage and antique is wnat you want.

Grey is making a come back, and new exciting shades of grey leather will be coming through in the late autumn to set a brand new trend. Shades of blue, purple, pink and browns featuring high on the catwalk colour scene.

New season styles include the well loved fashion come deigner versions of the biker and bomber jackets, with extra added detailing and quirks such as multiple patch and zip pockets, epaulettes, contrast stitch seams as well as distinctive seam detailing. So, the eye-catching and distinctive look still continues together. The eternal classic staple is always the blazer and classic zip jackets such as the harrington style for men and the smooth zip contoured jacket with a nehru collar for the ladies.

50s and 70's tailored and streamlined fits are again clearly evident, so the glamour is a definitive theme from the movie star opulance to the disco glitz, it is all happening and even the flares are making another comeback this century.

Fur is big on the scene for cross a lot of the very prominet catwalk designers for autumn (fall). It is so big this year that it runs the collections for men as well as the women. This will divide us between those that will and wont wear fur, there is always the option of synthetic fur.  Raw and primitive pelt styles are prevalent as well as the elegant and classic designs adorned in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Mix of leather and fur garments is taking hold within new designs to give a greater level of practical use for reagular or everyday wear.

Toscana lambskins are a great alternative to fur as they offer the beautifully long thick hair fur look but are from an acceptable farmed source of stock. The outer skin of a Tosana garment is typically a very soft nubuck (bit like extra soft and supple suede).

If we are headed for a cold winter, it may pay to buy your winter leather and fur coats and jackets now and take advantage of the end of season reductions and discount sale prices, you will be thankfull when the snow falls.
